In the words of the immortal Herman Melville: "Captain, There Be Whales Here!" It was an extraordinary treat to encounter these magnificent creatures during our week. Although we heard them constantly when we dove, we never did see them while underwater. They were usually a fair distance off shore, but Captain Ian was kind enough to take us out to them on several occasions. All of these were taken with a Nikon F100 using a Nikkor 100-300mm zoom lens on Fuji Provia slide film.
