March 2 - 9, 2002

Linda and I returned to Providenciales (Provo for short) in the Turks and Caicos Islands for another week aboard Peter Hughes' Sea Dancer.  Our friend, Captain Ian, and the rest of the Dancer crew treated us like royalty, and we had a fabulous week.  This was our forth visit to Provo (my fifth), and we were blessed with a week of excellent conditions both above and below the surface:

I am happy to report that the reef is still relatively healthy, particularly off of West Caicos and French Cay.  In addition to the beautiful diving, it was whale migration season.  We were treated to whale song on just about every dive, and saw them on the surface repeatedly.  In addition to the whales, we encountered the usual assortment of fish and other reef critters including turtles, sharks, octopus, and a healthy variety of corals.
